Copper Glow II Painting

This panel painting is inspired by the strata and landscape of Italy with its burnt orange and emerald green markings.  Painted using a plasterer's trowel the acrylic paint is laid onto the raw canvas with broad directional strokes.  The addition of copper paint reflects the evening light and the tradition of gilding in Florence.
