Design Updates

The former fashion editor Susi Bellamy describes her eye-catching cushions as 'art for the sofa’ – or, in this case, the bed. The textiles are digitally printed with designs she paints on to canvas using layers of rich, marbled colour. Taking inspiration from the texture of ancient palazzo walls in Italy, where Bellamy lived for a time, the silky surfaces have impressive depth. £95 each.

Design Trends

Designer Susi Bellamy creates abstract prints in her Newcastle studio which have inspired a range of cushions. “I call them art for your sofa,” she says. The designs are printed on to a silk-like polyester, with a plain backing. Each cushion is 50cm square with a feather filling, £95 each, from susibellamy.co.uk.
