Unveiling our Luxurious Silk Wool Scarf Collection

We are excited to have launched a luxurious collection of colourful silk wool scarves to the collection for the first time. The designs are based on Susi’s abstract paintings, taken from smaller crops of the larger artworks and also her marbled papers, inspired by her time living in Florence.

We decided to opt for a wool variant to keep everyone warm in the winter and to add some unique patterns to our Winter wardrobes. But who to photograph this collection? And then we approached the fabulous Italian photographer Cristina Coral to see if she would take on the project and she agreed! The scarves were flown out to Trieste where she lives and Cristina created a stylish series of imagery in unique Italian palazzos which echo Susi’s style ethos and her love of Italy.

Colour has always been the driving force in Susi’s work and the scarves are no exception. As one of our first forays into fashion, using a model in this way is a first for us. Cristina has picked up on the nuances of the pattern and colour and paired them perfectly with vintage fashion and antique furniture.

Susi’s background is as a Fashion and Beauty Editor for the prestigious Conde Nast publications so she is no stranger to photographic fashion shoots. She also spent seven years living in Italy so the collaboration with Cristina have proved a perfect pairing

All of our scarves are sent out in violet coloured boxes with gold embossed ‘Susi Bellamy’ logo and the brightest orange lining. We have also printed some of Cristina’s imagery on some small care cards which we also add to the box.
